– as Zulum commends troops in role okay during the flood

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen. Christopher Musa, has commended the troops of Operation Hadin kai for the role they played in the recent Maiduguri flood that ravaged Maiduguri, the state capital, where many lives were lost and property worth billions of Naira were destroyed
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) was in Maiduguri with other Service Chiefs to commend the troops for their role in rescuing the victims of flood and as also received in operational Desert Sanity, II and also paid a sympathy visit to Governor Babagana Zulum, the people of Borno over flood disaster.
While at the headquarters Operation Hadin Kai , Maimalari cantonment, Maiduguri on Thursday, the CDS recieved on “Operation Desert Sanity 11” from the theater Commander and units commanders.
Addressing the troops, the CDS lauded the troops for their rescue mission during the flood, and urged them to sustain the tempo.
“The President and Commander in Chief is happy with your performce , Nigerians are also happy with you, “, the CDS told the troops.
“The nation depends on you to defend the nation, I want to remind you not to forget your mandate in fighting insurgency, follow them and get them untill we restore peace in Northeast. You should be focused to end insurgency get the bastards , the difference between us and the thwarts is training
“Also, the CDS and his team were also at the Government House, Maiduguri said i want to pray also pay sympathy visit to the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar-Garbai El-Kanemi and Gov. Babagana Zulum who praised the military
General Musa said “we are here to commiserate with you over the recent flood disaster that killed many lives. members of the Armed Forces with you and the good people of Borno state, we would support to achieve your mandate.
He prayed that such disaster never happened again in Borno and part of the country.
Responding, Governor Zulum commended the troops for the role they played in not only rescuing the victims of the flood but transporting them and their lugages, as well as providing foods and shelter.
“I want to use this opportunity to commend the Nigerian Military with out the support of the military thousands of people would have died.”, Zulum said.
