MAU, MAUTH Difficult To Distinguish – VC, CMD

The Vice Chancellor, Modibbo Adama University, MAU Yola, Prof Ibrahim Umar and the Chief Medical Director, Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, MAUTH Yola, Adamawa state, Prof Adamu Bakari Girei have said that the two institutions, even though being supervised by two different ministries; education and health, are difficult to distinguish, however the thin line defining their operations.
The management of MAUTH led by the CMD visited MAU to congratulate the new VC for the appointment considered as well deserved.
MAU has contributed to the upgrade of MAUTH, the hitherto FMC Yola, the same way MAUTH contributed in the establishment of the college of medical sciences of MAU.
It is revealed that the strength of the synergy is inestimable exemplified in the sharing of both manpower and facilities.
The academic staff with the college of medical sciences were staff of the teaching hospital and are still contributing to the hospital; the medical science students will also eventually move to the teaching hospital for further training.
Both institutions have agreed to continue backing each other in the areas of training, facility upgrade, provision of potable water, electricity and road network among others.
