Monarchy In Maiha: Mahmud Is Indeed The God’s Choice, The People’s Choice – Emir Of Mubi

The Emir Of Mubi and Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia). Alhaji (Dr) Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, CFR, FFPM, was elated to receive an overwhelming population of people from Jalingo-Maiha who accompanied their new and legitimate District Head, Mahmud Abubakar, Esq on a thank you visit to the Emirate Council.

In high spirit of accomplishment, the HRH the Emir of Mubi Sunday, expressed that the teeming entourage of credible people accompanying Mahmud the Monarch of Maiha to also hold the Ubandoma Mubi title, indeed vindicated by justifying the Emirate Council’s selection and recommendation for the approval of his appointment.

Power and authority belong to Allah Most High, given to whomsoever He wishes at a time so decreed, however long in the sight of man it could be, must come to past.

Emirate Councils are more religious than traditional institutions, exemplified by Emir of Kano, His Highness, Sanusi II that the Emir is the Chief Imam, which explains the basis for having a central Mosque close to the place.

The Amir is also the Chief Judge, adjudicating based on the Shariah than traditional or customary law, which also explains the siting of court of law and central prison somewhere around the Palace;

The act of leading obligatory prayers and adjudication are however bequeathed to the Chief Imam and Alkali, the judge.

Expectedly, the Emir is well versed in the Qur’anic teachings and Prophetic tradition, hence has utilised the occasion to sermonise on Tauhid; unity, peace, love, mutual coexistence and leadership.

He tasked the new District Head to exhibit an exemplary leadership with fairness and justice devoid of extortion, oppression and exploitation.
