Multiplicity of skill acquisition centers tool to creating wealthy environment – Gwarzo

The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo has described the proliferation of skills acquisition centers as a recipe for creating an affluent environment and an aggressive mechanism for creating job opportunities.

Comrade Gwarzo, who doubles as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, made the disclosure while on his tour to the Aliko Dangote Ultra-Modern Skills Acquisition Centre.

He revealed that the primary essence of the visit was to critically comb the center’s performances, progress achievements and hitches to enable the government to unveil and design a more holistic roadmap and strategies to enhance the center.

According to him, thriving the life of citizens of the state, especially youths, is one of the paramount missions of the NNPP-led regime.

“The present administration is solemnly for youths. Thus, the government would continue to work hard to provide a safe and conducive environment for them to blossom and actualize their God-given potential.

“Whenever you abandoned youths the future would be devastating and they would turn back against you,” he added.

Revealing that, initially, the State House of Assembly grand approved of the visit to sift through the Centre to see how it will cater for the life of youths, Gwarzo, stressed that it’s in line with the current administration’s determination to eradicate evil acts committed by youths in the state.

On his part, the Managing Director of the Center, Mr. Paul Quinn, represented by Halilu Garba Shiyo, stated his readiness to continue to give profound support to the present administration to achieve objects in the field of endeavor.

He disclosed that, Alhaji Dangote, whom the Centre is bearing his name, is currently supporting the center’s programs by donating 30 per cent of it’s funding.

He, however, concluded by thanking the deputy governor for the visit and assured their contributions in poverty eradication and job creation in the state.
