PCN Inducts New Buni Scholars Graduates into Pharmacy Profession

The Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) has successfully inducted the latest batch of Buni Scholars into the esteemed profession of pharmacy.
The ceremony, held at National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development, Abuja marked a significant milestone in the journey of these scholars as they formally joined the league of licensed pharmacists in Nigeria.
The event was graced by dignitaries from the healthcare and academic sectors, including representatives from the PCN, seasoned pharmacists, and families of the inductees.
The Executive Secretary Yobe State Scholarship Board, Dr. Kagu Abubakar expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Mai Mala Buni CON for his unwavering support towards the educational advancement of students in the state.
Kagu highlighted the governor’s commitment to ensuring that students from Yobe State have access to quality education and financial assistance through various scholarship schemes.
He noted that Governor Buni’s administration has prioritized education as a cornerstone for development, making substantial investments in the sector.
“The support from His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, has been remarkable. His leadership has greatly enhanced our capacity to provide scholarships and other forms of assistance to deserving students,” the Executive Secretary stated.
He further disclosed that the board has been able to sponsor thousands of students in tertiary institutions across Nigeria and abroad, ensuring that they can pursue their dreams without financial hindrance.
According to him, this effort has not only reduced the financial burden on parents but has also inspired students to strive for excellence.
The Executive Secretary reaffirmed the board’s commitment to transparent and equitable disbursement of scholarships, urging beneficiaries to remain focused and dedicated to their studies as a way of reciprocating the government’s support.
He called on students to take full advantage of the opportunities provided by the state government, emphasizing that education remains a vital tool for personal and societal transformation.
