Police Rescue 33 Kidnap Victims in Bauchi

The Bauchi Police Command in collaboration with the operatives of the Joint Task Force (JTF) have rescued 33 people who were abducted in the Alkaleri area of the State.

Daily Hint learned that Alkaleri, the birthplace of the current governor of the state, Bala Muhammad, is suffering incessant kidnapping.

Details on whether any ransom was paid before the release of the hostages are yet to to revealed.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the LGA, Comr. Bala Ibrahim Mahmoud announced their release to newsmen in Bauchi on Saturday.

He said the victims were received from security operatives in Yalwan Duguri of Alkaleri on Friday night after the successful operation.

Mahmoud commended the security agencies for the quick intervention, adding that the victims will undergo medical checkups to ensure their perfect health status before further action.
