Post insurgency recovery: foundation launches e-commerce in Borno

A philanthropic Foundation Hiive Solutions has officially launched its operation in Maiduguri to enhance Local Deliveries and e-Commerce for post insurgency recovery from over a decade post insurgency recovery.
Flagging off the operation at Suite 17, Musty Global Plaza,, Maiduguri on Monday,, the Commandant of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) , Air Force Base,, Maiduguri Group Captain K.O. Nwachukwu, commended the foundation for the initiative.
The foundation is praised to platform as a timely solution for everyday logistic challenges.
The Commandant said “When a security guard has to skip lunch because he cannot leave his post, or when a business loses customers due to unreliable delivery options, Hiive is there to ensure supply meets demand”
“Hiive Solutions is introducing a mobile platform that connects users, sellers, and riders to facilitate local commerce,” Group Captain Nwachukwu said.
Also, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hiive Solutions, Mr. Elijah Darlington, said “The platform aims at addressing delivery gaps and promote business growth for residents and small businesses throughout the region.
“The company was established after listening to the real problems faced by consumers and vendors, with the Hiive User, Vendor, and Rider apps—available on Google Play and the Apple App Store—we connect users, vendors, and riders, making it easy for people to buy, send, and receive goods.”, he said.
“We aim to help businesses expand beyond their physical storefronts in Maiduguri,” he added.
The Director of Women Affairs, Borno State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Falmata Omar commended Hiive Solutions support and contribution to Governor Zulum’s economic recovery agenda and 10 years transformation and strategic development plan.
Representatives of the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Mess , NAF Maiduguri, Waba Abba described the platform is an innovation that will “bring markets to users’ fingertips.”
The Hiive Solution Accountant, Alhaji Suleiman Yusuf urged Hiive’s management to implement resilient measures to manage startup risks such as cash flow constraints, operational safety, and technical downtimes.
“If you address these risks early on, you can scale confidently across Nigeria’s 36 states,” Suleiman advised.
Other guests that spoke at the ceremony include Samuel Orahii from Nexus Consulting, Comrade Yahaya Maigari, President of the University of Maiduguri Student Union, and various community figures who encouraged residents and businesses to embrace the platform.
The launch event received positive feedback from state officials and community leaders including a joint dedication of Hiive’s new office and a guided tour of the facility.
