Adamawa Community Association in Abuja, ACA, has expressed delight, the unity, devoid of any manipulative faith-based divide, presented in the success of the 36th State Qur’anic Recitation Competition, which the first class monarch, His Royal Majesty, the host, tagged as “inspiration for young minds, considered as the best of the rest, bringing dignitaries professing different faiths to mark together in Demsa local government area, southern senatorial district of Adamawa State, northeast Nigeria.
A remarkable event in which the Christian faithful, exhibiting religious tolerable, played prominent roles to ensuring its success as advocated by the United Nations-POLAC in the spirit of peace unity and mutual coexistence with Hama Bata hosting the event, Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo donating cash and tricycles to the winners and others donating cash to facilitate a hitch free event in a predominantly Christian community
In a statement, the ACA President, Engr Bawuro Yahaya PhD, expressed that “Indeed it’s all well that ends Well.
“The ACA wishes to express its congratulations and appreciation to all those who in one way or the other contributed to the success of this very worthy event of Qur’anic Recitation Competition that took place in Demsa, Demsa local government area, Adamawa State.
“Specific mention must be made of his Royal Majesty, the Hama Batta who exhibited exemplary religious tolerance and understanding in championing the holding of the event.
“Mention must also be made of the Waziri of Adamawa, Senator Ishiaku Abbo, the Arch Bishop of Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, LCCN represented by Vice Chairman LCCN Bishop Peter Bartimawus, Bishop of Gongola Diocese, Sheikh Bala Lau, the National Chairman JIBW, Dr Jabir Maihula, Sokoto State Commissioner for Islamic Affairs, our Brother, Alhaji Aliyu Isma’ila Numan, Turaki Batta and various others who are not mentioned but played honorable roles at this unique occasion.
“This event, once again, clearly shows that Adamawa State is indeed a Centre of Peace, Unity, Understanding and Progress.
“We therefore look forward to seeing more of these types of events and hence appeal to our leaders to emulate what took place in Demsa and replicate it in their various domains”.
