Rampant Waste Disposal, Prime Factor Spreading Disease To Community – Expert

Expert on e-management and environmental sanitation, Dr Bala Mohd Tukur, said rampant waste disposal is like spreading diseases to the community.
He stated this in a Radio program titled Zauren Premier held this Monday.
According to him, an analysis by health experts suggested that about 90 per cent of the diseases that afflict the community are related to the lack of cleanliness of the environment.
Dr Bala Mohd Tukur who is the President of Kano Indigenous Companies of Waste Management (ICWM) called on the government to enforce sanitation laws and join with experts on waste management for the solution.
He disclosed that if the step is taken, the government will reduce spending on building hospitals, and drugs and the community will also be able to take care of their health.
The president further explained that rampant waste disposal leads to environmental pollution while insects and mice spread diseases in houses and there is a blockage of water channels which causes the spread of mosquitoes and floods.
Dr. Bala Tukur who described it it wasss a wealth if managed properly urged also to call the attention to the community to understand the importance of responsibilcocontinuing suffering from diseases aspespendingingingingingend more money on treatment.
He added that shortly, they will present a road map plan on waste management to the Kano State government for a proper solution.
