9Renewed Hope Initiative: Mrs Tinubu supports 200 physically Challenged Persons, 120 women in Northeast

The Renewed.Hooe Initiatives. of the Wife of the President, Mrs Oluuremi Tinubu has empowered 20 women and 200 Physically Challenged Person across the 6 states of the Northeast with N500,000 and N100,000 respectively under her Renewed Hope Initiative, women in Agriculture programme..

Speaking at the Launching of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Women in Agriculture and support to disables for the Northeast at the Multipurpose Hall, Government House, Maidugurii on Tuesday, the First Lady and Chairperson of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Mrs Oluuremi Tinubu said choice of the 20 beneficiaries each and 200 disabilities across the 36 states and the FCT.

The First lady represented by the wife of the Vice President, Nahah Kashim Shettima said ” today the Renewed Hope Initiative is support 200 physically Challenged person’s in Borno who were penstakenly selected among the state will supported with N100,000 under the social investment programme of the initiative and 20 women nominee each from the 6 states of the Northeast will supported with N500,000 for women in Agriculture”,.

She said the N500,000 to be given to 20 beneficiaries under the Renewed Hope Initiative, women in Agriculture are expected to invest in poultry, fishery, irrigation farming, adding that in addition to that 80 women farmers will be identified in each state for Agriculture and urged the beneficiaries to use the opportunity to expand their agricultural based.

“Our every Home a garden” is still on going, the programme will encourage women to grow garden in their homes to have food on their tables.. A competition will open to women in garden and the winner will go home with N20 million”, Mrs Tinubu said.

The First Lady further said ” very soon young farmers will be launch and will be open to young farmers in primary as n DC secondary schools and the school to hat has vest farm will be reward with a cc obstruction of classromm, , equiping of laboratories and Library among others.. Also one Nigeria/Unity Fabric , the compettiy will be open to all Nigeria between the age of 15 to 25 and the winner will go home with N25 million.”

Also speaking the Borno state Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum said ” this a significant as the issue of job creation has been a priority of the state government and gas direct impact on the rural community”.

” To he Borno state government has top mist most priority to he development Agriculture, towards end, the state government procured agricultural imputs fertilizer and seeds and appealed Organisations and wealthy individuals to support the agricultural programme of the government “, Zulum said

He assured the wife of the President that the Northeast Governors will support the agricultural programme, especially the women in Agriculture.

Earlier in her welcome address, the Wife of Borno state Governor, Mrs Falmata Babagana Zulum said 200 physically Challenged person’s will be supported, it is not a political gimmick but just to Ed mpower the physically Challenged Persons to have businesses of their own.

She said the beneficiaries were selected in every towns, villages and hamlet’s and loo the the first lady for the initiative and assured that to support Federal Government.

In her goodwill message, the Zonal.Coordinator Northeast, Renewed Hope Initiative,, the Wife of the Bauchi state Governor, Mrs Aisha Bala Mohammed commended the wife of the President for the Renewed Hope Initiative in Agriculture provide the opportunity to have access to agriculture.

She assured the wife of the President of their support to the Federal Government in areas of education, health, women and youths empowered and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the Ed funds.
