The APL GM who commended the CMD for establishing a college of nursing sciences in the hospital in addition to the effective and efficient healthcare delivery in a neat and tidy environment, revealed that the SCOPE is the only surviving state’s own newspaper in the entire northern Nigeria, which he attributed to the support the APL has been enjoying from the past governments and the present government led by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who found him reliable and worthy to be appointed the new GM.
Iya, who started from the bottom and rose to his present top position said APL has everything it takes in terms of printing and publishing that M.A.U.T.H Yola could benefit from the services, like printing of hospital folders, prescription booklets and investigation forms, books and magazines among others.
The CMD M.A.U.T.H, having thanked the Scope management for the visit, congratulated Zubairu Iya for what he described as the well deserved appointment.
Prof Bakari said that the relationship between the hospital as a federal institution and the state government has been a continued one, recognised for the benefit of the citizenry.
The CMD commended the Adamawa State Governor for the unalloyed support, saying “there’s nothing we requested from Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri that he’s not granted to us”.
The CMD explained that Governor Fintiri, in his magnanimity, donated a bus to the hospital, directed the state ministry of water resources to link the hospital with the Yola water treatment plant to be able to have sufficient water, in addition to building roads in the hospital among other interventions.
The CMD assured collaboration with the APL in the areas of public awareness and enlightenment about the services and government policies that affect hospital services among others.
