We Are Committed To Building Sustainable Peace and Security in Yobe state – Gov. Buni

His Excellency the Yobe state Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has assured the support of his administration to security operatives in the state to enhance border patrol against trans-border crimes.
Buni gave the assurance today when he received Assistant Controller General of Immigration Zone C, Sunday James, who paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Damaturu.
The governor expressed the commitment of his administration towards ensuring a lasting peace and security in the state.
He commended the security agencies for their commitment and resilience in taming the insurgency and crime generally in the northeast.
The governor called on the agencies to work in synergy and adopt the joint patrol exercise to check the infiltration of criminals into the border states.
He further called on the security agencies to liaise with traditional and community leaders to easily identify areas and persons involved in crime and criminality.
Earlier, the Zonal controller Sunday James commended Governor Buni for supporting the security agencies in the fight against crime.
“Your Excellency, l am impressed with the support rendered by your government, which has translated into the growing peace and security enjoyed across the state.
