WHO THE CAP FITS: WHY GOV ZULUM, VP SHETTIMA AND STAKEHOLDERS MAY ENDORSE ENGR. ISHAKU IBRAHIM MSHELIZZA AS CONSENSUS CANDIDATE, ASKIRA-UBA/HAWUL FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

As zonal congresses of the ruling APC hold across the length and breath of Nigeria, it is expected that the party will avoid rancour and bitterness by using its discretion to nominate and endorse candidates who are not only firmly in tune with the Party’s aspiration and ambitions but also the overwhelming favourites of the electorate to ensure a smooth and resounding victory devoid of future electoral challenges from whatever source.

One of the most enlightened constituencies in Nigeria is Askira- Uba/ Hawul Federal Constituency of southern Borno, home to one of the most educated and enlightened constituencies in Nigeria. There have always been a plethora of various interest groups promoting the candidacy of their favourite qualified sons or daughters for this highly competitive position of Honourable Member of this federal constituency which makes the contest intense and highly volatile, but it has always been fortunately resolved in a peaceful manner for the overall progress of the constituency.

The 2027 elections are not different. Now that all contestants have thrown their hats in the ring, it is time to make a bold suggestion devoid of sentiments on whom the cap fits to be the Honourable Member representing this vibrant constituency.

Engr. Ishaku Ibrahim Mshelizza, MNSE, COREN, a 39- year old Aircraft Engineer with a laudable background in Telecommunications Engineering and Power Sector, perfectly fits the bill for this constituency in the 2027 elections on the platform of the APC. Engineer Ishaku is energetic, brutally frank, outspoken but very respectful. So as a dedicated Party Man and loyalist , a grassroots mobilizer and philanthropist, and most importantly as someone who will add value to the Party at the Local, State and National Levels, as well as to the community, based on his documented history, deserves this position above all.

His experiences in his professional field is equally matched by his tremendous strides on the local political scene where he has contested valiantly before under different platforms but remained consistent in his advocacy for community development, resilience and advancement.

Engr. Ishaku Mshelizza is a philanthropist, a Party Loyalist, and a young man with a great working relationship with both the Youth and Elders, a necessary ingredient in political strategy and success. As someone, who, through his philanthropic foundation has assisted the youths, orphans, widows, workers, elders, and Party supporters at the grassroots, he is constantly briefed on the needs of the people of his constituency.

His cordial relationship with the Youth, Women, and Elders is a plus which every political organization should take maximum advantage of. In a religiously mixed but mutually tolerant constituency, Engr. Ishaku Mshelizza has demonstrated impartiality and an encompassing love and passion for his people. He has always assisted adherents of the two main religions during their most important festivities without discrimination or bias.

One of the outstanding qualities of Engr. Ishaku Mshelizza is his loyalty to his political mentors – His Excellency the Vice President Kashim Shettima, His Excellency Prof.Babagana Umara Zulum and the Party hierarchy at all levels.

Engr. Ishaku Mshelizza also deserves this Honourable Seat as a mentee of the Vice President Kashim Shettima, whose own loyalty to his boss and the President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is worthy of emulation by patriotic democrats and politicians elsewhere
