Yobe: Gov. Buni Holds Inaugural Exco Meeting, Charges Cabinet On Productivity, Projects Continuity

His excellency Hon.Mai Mala Buni the executive Governor of yobe state has today thursday charged his cabinet members on dedication, productivity and commitment towards service delivery to the people of the state. He urged at the opening of the State Executive Council meeting held at the State House, Damaturu.
Abdullahi Bego, Commissioner Yobe State Ministry of Home Affairs Information and Culture revealed to newsmen shortly after the meeting.
“Every Executive Council must be interested in the task of moving Yobe forward. Over the last four years His Excellency has significantly done well in all areas of human development, health care delivery services, water supply, road projects, infrastructural development, provision of humanitarian support, empowerment, businesses, support to agriculture among others”.
“The Governor underscores the need for the Executive Council to work together as a team to sustain the gains of the last four years to continue building Yobe”.
The Governor further tasked the Commissioners on continuity of all ongoing projects should be completed, commissioned and embark on new ones adding that the state would continue to pay more attention on the provision of palliatives to the citizens in order to cushion the sufferings of the fuel subsidy removal.
Buni added that the state has made a tremendous amount of success in the health sector which earned the state recognition from international organizations such as UNICEF and Melinda Gates Foundation among others.
Also speaking, the Commissioner Yobe State Ministry of Health and Human Services, Dr. Mohammed Lawan Gana enumerated some of the giant efforts of Governor Mai Mala Buni in the health sector which according to him includes the establishment of the Yobe State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (YSCHMA) “this agency has significantly performed credibly well resulting to some organization investing in health sector such as Melinda Gates Foundation leading to the registration 2,500 poor and vulnerable women and children and other categories of disable into the Equity Fund Programmes, also the UNICEF initially approved for the enrollment of 7,000 in Geidam and Gulani LGAs, after seeing the results of the Children, they increased the number to 10,000.”
