Yobe State Govt Working to Restore Power to Damaturu, Environs

The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, is making significant strides toward restoring electricity to Damaturu and environs days after vandalisation of the TCN Tower by unknown vandals.
This commitment was reaffirmed by the General Manager, GM Rural Electrification Board (REB), Engr. Mustapha Goniri, during inspection of the ongoing power restoration work in Potiskum Local Government Area.
Engr. Goniri said Governor Buni has directed the Rural Electrification Board REB to work closely with Yola Electricity Distribution Company YEDC and Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN to ensure speedy restoration of power supply to Damaturu through Potiskum injecting Sub-station.
While all contacts and necessary follow up are ongoing to re-install the vandalized 330KV, the General Manager assured that the state government under the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni CON is committed to the social and economic welfare of the people of Yobe state.
He commended the engineers for their excellent work and confirmed that all technical issues are being adequately addressed.
He encouraged residents to remain patient and supportive as the final steps towards restoring power are completed.
