Youth Empowerment: Gov. Buni Inaugurates 400 Training of YOROTA Marshals

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, on Thursday, inaugurated training of 400 newly recruited Youths to boost the activities of the Yobe State Road Traffic Management Agency (YOROTA).
The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Transport and Energy, Hon. Musa Mustapha, inaugurated the Marshals on behalf Governor Mai Mala Buni at their training ground at the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu.
The Honourable Commissioner officially declared open the ceremony on behalf of the Yobe State Government.
He was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Mustapha Abba Geidam.
Hon. Musa Mustapha, Commissioner of Transport and Energy, whose Ministry is overseeing YOROTA commended the effort of Governor Buni for his foresight in establishing the agency.
Mustapha also charged the Management and the Marshals to intensify their efforts and live up to expectations as Yobe State Government is always ready to support the agency in discharging its duties.
In his remarks, the General Manager of the Agency, Babagana Alhaji Modu a.k.a Bature Goniri urged the the newly recruits to be discipline and good ambassadors. He charged them to consolidate on the successes made so far in achieving the mandate of the Agency.
He praised Governor Mai Mala Buni CON for giving the Agency all the required support to enhance its operations in the state.
Bature Goniri said that other states have been coming to Yobe State to learn from YOROTA’s success story calling on all hands on deck to consolidate on the Agency’s traffic management efforts.
The rigorous training exercise is expected to shape the newly recruited Marshals to stimulate discipline and hard work towards achieving the mandate of the Agency.
