Youths Loot A Truckload of Fertilizer In Adamawa

A government-allocated trailer load of fertilizer was looted by some Youths of Demsa town, Demsa Local Government area of Adamawa State at the palace of a paramount traditional Ruler Hama Bata Alhamdu Teneke.
This incident happened as a result of the lack of storage space, (Store), which the local government did not have, trying to take the fertilizer to the king’s house, the truck fell into a Drain, and at the same time, the youths started throwing the fertilizer.
The Council Chairman, Hon Akam Sanda Jallo, confirmed the development and blamed the vendor for not informing him of their journey to convey the fertilizer to the Palace of Hama Batta for delivery and safekeep.
He said the Vendor who is in charge of the fertilizer in Yola would have waited to get go-ahead instructions from him before they took off their travels to Demsa.
He, however, said they have a prime suspect who was engineering the boys to loot the fertilizer meant to be shared with local farmers for the rainy season.
Akam denied the rumor that the looters were Youth for the #endbadgovernance protesters and ambushed the truck at Palace of Hama Bata but engineered by the prime suspect, who he refused to disclose his identity.
He revealed that the truck was stuck and fell as a result of the bad nature of the road. That’s where some of the Youth in Demsa were engineered to loot them.
Some security source confirmed that the security forces have arrested some youths who are accused of spreading fertilizers.
