Defence Minister Officially Ordered Nigerian Troops To Capture Bello Turji
By Aisha Musa
His excellency, Mohammad Badaru, the minister of defense, finally ordered nigerian troops of Operation Fansar Yamma to capture Bello Turji, the notorious bandit leader terrorising the northwest.
The minister gave the order during his address to the troops at the One Brigade Headquarters in Gusau, Zamfara state.
He added that his visit was intended to receive updates on military operations.
He said President Bola Tinubu has been monitoring the activities of the troops in recent months and noting improvements in counter-terrorism operations, though challenges persist.
The president therefore, urged me to thank you and to urge you to do more to end insecurity in these areas of operation and the country,” Badaru said.
“He is ready to provide all you need to end insecurity in the Northwest and Nigeria.
“I had some reassurances from the commander and was pleased; sure that we would reach the goal. Are you ready to finish with them? Are you ready to end it? Please get me Turji.”
Badaru was received by Oluyinka Soyele, theatre commander of Operation Fansar Yamma, along with Mani Mumuni, deputy governor of Zamfara state, and other dignitaries.
