DSP Jibrin Offers Prayer, Support During Condolence Visits in Kano
By Hussaini Ibrahim Sulaiman
In a show of solidarity and compassion, the Deputy Senate President, Barau I Jibrin, has embarked on a series of condolence visits to families mourning the recent loss of their loved ones across Kano State and its environs.
The condolence tour began in Bichi Local Government Area, where he paid a visit to Engr. Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi, the Managing Director of the Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA), who recently lost his mother.
He described Mama’s passing as a profound loss, not only to her immediate family but also to the entire Kano North community and the state at large.
The Deputy Senate President then proceeded to Naibawa Quarters within the Kano metropolis to commiserate with Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), following the death of her stepfather, Alhaji Sani Baba.
Continuing his condolence visits, he was in Minjibir town to console the family of the late Sale Ado Minjibir, a former local government chairman and Permanent Secretary, who made significant contributions to the development of Minjibir during his lifetime.
In addition, he visited the residence of the late Alhaji Bala Abubakar Zabainawa to offer his sympathies to the grieving family. He also extended his condolences to the family of the late Engineer Yahaya Bashir Karaye, a former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State.
Beyond condolence visits, Barau I Jibrin also checked on Alhaji Sani Lawan Kofar Mata and Hon. Farouk Iya, who are currently battling illnesses, praying for their speedy recovery.
He offered heartfelt prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to forgive their shortcomings, expand their graves, and grant them Jannatul Firdausi. He also prayed for the quick recovery of all those who are ill.
“Amin, Ya Allah,” he concluded.
