Politics: Adamawa APC elects new state exco through consensus, as fintiri float new movement.

YOLA; The Adamawa state Chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has con clouded its state Congress on Saturday with the election of new party executives through consensus in a peaceful manner
chairman state Congress, Ambassador Baba gana Ajimi and his team performed the Congress at the famous Mahmud Ribadu square where he called for the dissolution of the former state executive council of the party (APC) and later ordered for a motion to that regard.
Majority leader of the state Assembly, and member representing Demsa state constituency ,Hon. Kate Raymond Mamunu moved the motion for the dissolution of the APC state exco and was seconded by the chairman of Toungo local government area, Hon Suleiman Ahmed Gangkuba which brought to an end the tenure of the ousted state exco of the party.
Senator Grace Jackson Bent moved the motion for the state Congress to be on consensus arrangement as provided by the party’s constitution and was seconded by the former Deputy Speaker and Member representing Guyuk state constituency in the state Assembly,Hon. Sunday Peter .
After motion was moved and seconded, the Chairman of Congress committee, Ambassador Ajimi asked the delegates through voice confirming the election of the state party executives through consensus which in turn answered loudly in chorus confirming the process voicing “Yes we agree”
Ajimi announced Hamza Bello Madagali as the state chairman, Dr.Raymond Chindama as Vice Chairman, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu as Secretary, Bature Moses as Assistant Secretary of the party.
Victor Dogo as Publicity secretary,Dedan Raymond as Youth leader among others.
Speaking at the occasion, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said that following the completion of all party’s (APC) congresses, the state has achieved full political integration in to the ruling APC and set for victory come 2027 elections.
Governor Fintiri maintained that what happened in the state was nothing but a political evolution with the party (APC) having successfully transitioned from alignment to what he termed a “full fusion” of political structures across all levels.
Fintiri stressed that political integration required sacrifice and compromise, noting that while not all stakeholders may have achieved their individual expectations, “no one is a loser” in the process.
Fintiri said the smooth execution of ward, local government, and state congresses reflected the political maturity of stakeholders and demonstrated a shared commitment to building a stronger and more competitive party structure in the state.
“Those who think that they are clever enough to compel endorsement by imposition will naturally give way to serious hardworking politicians in search of fair playing platforms like what we have in the APC at the moment.
“I therefore call on all our members to remain focused, dedicated and wary of pretenders whose understanding of democracy is limited only to situations that favours them”.Fintiri warned
He declared the establishment a political platform tagged “Adamawa Renewed Hope 226 Movement (ARH226M) explaining that,it is a grassroots mobilisation structure covering all 226 wards of the state.
He emphasized that the movement will be formally inaugurated in the coming week with leadership structures spanning from ward to state level with a sole mandate to canvas for votes for president Bola Tinubu and all APC candidates until victory is attained
Fintiri called on all APC support groups in the state to align with the new movement, stating that it would serve as a unified platform for political mobilisation across Adamawa State.
He confessed that despite though some toes were stepped on in the process of allignment but everyone in the equation is a winner emphasizing that the state is now fully APC control state.
The governor congratulated the newly elected APC executives and described the congress as the beginning of a renewed political phase for the party in the state.
In his acceptance speech, the new state chairman of the party,Hamza Bello Madagali expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and the delegates for given him the opportunity to serve pledging to have an open door policy which would carry everyone along.
Madagali called on all aspirants to conduct campaigns with respect and dignity warning under watch campaign of calumny will be tolerated as it must sanctions accordingly.
“Under my watch as a leader no favouritism and will be transparent as everyone must have respect for the supremacy of the party as l am pledging to operate an open door policy for all members of our great party, the APC”. Madagali assured.
