FG to establish FM station in Gwoza

The Federal Government through the Federal Radio Cooperation of Nigeria, (FRCN),is to establish FM radio station in Gwoza local government area of Borno state..
The Director General of the FRCN,
Dr Mohammed Bulama who disclosed this on Monday when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Babagana Zulum at the Government House Maiduguri on Monday said ” already the cooperation has secured fund for establishment of radio station in Gwoza in the 2024 budget. By the Grace God we also going to establish another radio station in Monguno”.
He solicits for more support from Northern Governor’s Forum to revive Radio Nigeria Kaduna, stressing that Northern Nigeria people are predominantly radio listeners and that the reviving of the Radio back to it’s past glory will greatly enhanced discrimination of government policies and programmes.
” I want to Commend the Borno state government for it’s support to the Peace Radio station and like Oliver twist i want to also solicit for your more partnership especially information discimnation and programme that will support the Federal and Borno state government programme of de-radicalization and reintegration.
Responding, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state said ” information discimination is key and essential development and reduction of insurgency.and I want to assure you that the Borno state government is ready to partner with the FRCN to enhance information discimination.
He commended the Peace FM Radio Maiduguri for it’s information discimination in the last 10 years, despite the security challenges.
He also assured to table the request of the DG to the Northern Governor’s Forum and also urged the DG, as the ambassador of the state not to let the state down.
