Yobe NUJ Applauds Gov. Buni On Education, Health, Employment, Other Sectors

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Yobe State Chapter Applauds Governor Mai Mala Buni’s government for outstanding developmental projects cut across all sectors of the state that impacts directly on life of the people in all ramifications.
Comrade Rajab Mohammed Ismail, chairman of the union made the commendation on Thursday while briefing journalists on the recent tour undertaken by the union to observe efforts of the state and local governments towards improving the lives of citizens.
Rajab stated that the tour afforded them the opportunity to see for themselves the efforts of the state and local government council and the improvement of the lives of the people under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni.
He mentioned some of the projects seen on ground during the tour by journalists to include excellent transformation in health, education, and infrastructural development.
Rajab further said in an effort to improve the health and education sectors, Governor Buni has established 140 primary healthcare centres which brought effective and efficient healthcare services to the people especially those at the grassroots.
He further revealed that the progress of education sector is laudable following brilliant performance of Yobe students during the WAEC, NECO and NABTEB examinations.
Speaking further, the NUJ commended the Buni-led administration for paying examination fees and professional bodies registration fees like those of the Nigerian Law School, ANAN and ICAN among others for students.
He said, “During the team’s visit to some of government facilities, we observe that construction of ultra-modern market in Damaturu, Nguru and Gashua have been completed while those in Potiskum and Geidam are in the near completion stage.
“We sincerely appreciate Yobe State Governor for his unparallel warmness and kindness to the media in the state. He remained the most media-friendly Governor in Nigeria,” the Yobe NUJ chairman said.
