By Umar Dankano,Yola.
The Adamawa state government in partnership with Sparrow Mobility limited has launched a EV Assembly plant and rollout of electric tricycles in Adamawa state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state while at the launching of the electric Mobility initiative in Yola said that, the occasion marks not only unveiling of the new initiative but the beginning of a transformational journey that would redefine energy access, economic opportunity and transportation across the state.
Governor Fintiri went down to history lane highlighting that, the state in 2025 took  a strategic step onto the global investment stage when it participated in an Investor Roundtable convened by the Rural Electrification Agency.
Fintiri noted that, the platform provided the state with a unique opportunity to present immense potentials it has and to call on forward-thinking investors to partner with us in unlocking it.
According to him,It was at that Roundtable that they initiated a pivotal engagement with the leadership of A4&T Group.
“I recall clearly the commitment made by the Group CEO—to return to his Board and give serious consideration to Adamawa State as a priority destination for investment. Today, we are proud to say that this was not a mere promise—it was the beginning of a partnership built on trust, vision, and execution.
“Following that engagement, the Government of Adamawa State entered into a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding with A4&T Group—an agreement centered on energizing our state through investments in mini-grids, commercial and industrial solar solutions, and clean mobility infrastructure.
” This partnership was designed to address one of our most pressing challenges: access to reliable, sustainable energy for our people and businesses.
“The results are already visible. As of today, over 6,000 households across Song, Lamurde, Jada, Fufore, Demsa, Numan, Shelleng, and Hong Local Government Areas have been energized through the deployment of Solar Home Systems.
