Ahmad Musa Geidam Congratulates Governor Buni as New Chairman of Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum

Following the emergence of Yobe State Governor, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, CON, Ciroman Gujba, as the Chairman of the Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum, Ahmad Musa Geidam has extended his heartfelt congratulations to him.
In a statement issued on Friday Geidam described Buni’s emergence as a well-deserved honor, recognizing his unwavering commitment to regional development, security, and cooperation among states within the Lake Chad Basin.
“These unanimous Endorsement is a testament to Governor Buni’s outstanding leadership qualities, dedication, and tireless efforts in fostering peace, development, and collaboration among the member states of the Forum,” Geidam said.
He noted that Buni’s track record in governance, particularly his contributions to restoring peace and promoting economic stability in Yobe State and beyond, played a crucial role in earning the confidence of his fellow governors.
“As a visionary leader, His Excellency has continuously demonstrated the ability to bring people together, tackle pressing challenges, and implement policies that drive sustainable development. I have no doubt that under his leadership, the Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum will witness remarkable progress,” Geidam added.
He further expressed confidence that Buni would leverage his new position to strengthen regional partnerships, enhance security cooperation, and address key issues affecting the Lake Chad Basin, including insurgency, climate change, and economic revitalization.
Geidam urged all stakeholders, including the governments of the member states, development partners, and local communities, to rally behind Governor Buni in achieving the collective goals of the Forum.
He oncluded by praying for wisdom, strength, and success for Buni in his new role, emphasizing that his leadership would undoubtedly bring positive transformations to the region.
