APC Unshaken by Opposition Coalition, Says Gov. Buni

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, has reaffirmed the All Progressives Congress’s confidence in its leadership and policies, asserting that the party remains undaunted by the newly-formed opposition coalition.

Speaking at an interactive session marking his six years in office, held at the Government House in Damaturu, Governor Buni, who also chairs the APC Constitution Review Committee, emphasized that the ruling party is focused on governance and national development rather than political distractions.

“The APC has no reason to be afraid. We are the ruling party, driven by a passion for Nigeria’s progress. Our focus is on uniting our people, delivering good governance, and improving lives across the nation. We are working diligently, and we are confident in the results we are achieving,” Governor Buni stated.

He urged Nigerians to continue offering prayers for their leaders to surmount the challenges of insecurity, emphasizing that peace remains a critical foundation for sustainable development.

“The challenges we face as a nation require collective efforts and divine intervention. I call on all Nigerians to pray for our leaders so that we can achieve the peace necessary for progress and prosperity,” he added.

Addressing concerns about the opposition coalition, Governor Buni remarked: “The opposition has every right to challenge us; that’s the essence of democracy. But our focus remains on delivering results and fulfilling the mandate entrusted to us by Nigerians.”

The event, attended by party stalwarts, community leaders, and government officials, highlighted Governor Buni’s administration’s achievements over the past six years, reinforcing the APC’s commitment to driving Nigeria toward sustainable growth and development.
