Boko Haram: Women Affairs Minister charges 69 chibok girls on study at AUN Yola.

The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim has charged the 69 chibok girls studying at American University of Nigeria Yola to make their parents and Federal government proud by taking their studies serious.
Recall that the chibok girls were the over 200 female students abducted by the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists during former President Goodluck Jonathan Ebele’s tenure where substantial number of them regained freedom through military operations while others escaped from captivity.
Hajiya Ibrahim gave the charge in Yola Friday during an on spot assessment of true situation of the students who are enjoying federal government’s scholarship support in education.
Ibrahim who after a series of meetings with the students and management of the University expressed satisfaction with the condition of the students advising them not to be distracted with the life’s challenges.
She told journalists in an interview that the federal government signed a memo of understanding (MOU) with the University in making sure the students got the best of education with a view to becoming good ambassadors of the country.
She reiterated that education is a top priority to president Bola Tinubu’s administration stressing that the chibok girls are so dear to his heart hence the close attention for updates.
Earlier the president of the AUN, president Dewayne Frazier expressed gratitude to the Minister for the visit assuring that the University will continue to provide quality development education to the younger generation.
