Chris’ Vision Takes Shape: Adamawa’s Green Ville CNG Project Set to Revolutionise Energy

…as Gov Fintiri set to commissions projects

By Tom Garba-Yola

The visionary leadership of Mr. Chris Nathaniel, Director of Green Vile CNG in Adamawa State, has earned widespread praise as he spearheads a groundbreaking Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) project under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential CNG Policy.

Designed to alleviate the economic strain of fuel subsidy removal, this initiative promises affordable energy for Adamawa residents and the broader Northeast region. Alongside this, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is poised to commission the state’s cutting-edge Computerized Vehicle Inspection Center, further cementing Adamawa’s commitment to innovation and safety.

Mr. Chris Nathaniel has emerged as a beacon of progress, lauded for his dynamic leadership in bringing the Green Vile CNG station to fruition. During an inspection tour led by Adamawa State Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Wunfe B. Anthony, Nathaniel’s passion and foresight were on full display.

He described the CNG station, located along Yola-Gombe Road near the Adamawa City Gate, as a historic milestone—the first of its kind in the Northeast.

“This project is a game-changer for the people of Adamawa and the entire Northeast,” Nathaniel declared with conviction. “It will provide affordable, reliable energy for vehicles, industries, and homes, easing the burden of subsidy removal while promoting a cleaner environment.”

His ability to articulate the project’s far-reaching benefits has inspired confidence among stakeholders, positioning him as a pivotal figure in Nigeria’s green energy revolution.

Nathaniel announced that Governor Fintiri will commission the mega CNG station on May 27, 2025, a date eagerly anticipated by residents.

Project Director Mr. M. Gokul, who accompanied the inspection team, echoed Nathaniel’s enthusiasm, highlighting CNG’s technical advantages. “Compressed Natural Gas is a highly efficient fuel, compressed to a fraction of its volume for easy storage and transport.

It’s a sustainable alternative to petrol, especially for vehicles,” Gokul explained, crediting Nathaniel’s leadership for driving the project’s swift progress.

The CNG initiative, a cornerstone of President Tinubu’s strategy to mitigate subsidy removal’s impact, is hailed for its economic and environmental benefits. Nathaniel’s tireless advocacy for cheaper gas access has resonated deeply, earning him accolades as a champion of the people.

In parallel, Governor Fintiri is set to commission the Adamawa State Computerized Vehicle Inspection Center, located behind the Intercity Motor Park along Yemi Osibanjo Road, Yola North. Hon. Wunfe, accompanied by ministry officials, toured the facility, which is fully equipped to diagnose vehicle faults, from engines and tires to braking systems.

Mallam Yaya Tukur, the center’s coordinator, praised its state-of-the-art capabilities. “This facility is a one-stop hub for vehicle diagnostics, ensuring cars are roadworthy. Government vehicles will be inspected free of charge, while private owners pay just N2,500 annually,” Tukur noted. Joseph T. Shuwa, Adamawa’s Director of Road Traffic Administration, urged drivers to utilize the center, emphasizing its role in reducing road accidents.

Under Chris Nathaniel’s stellar leadership, the Green Vile CNG station is set to redefine energy access in the Northeast, while the vehicle inspection center promises safer roads.

Both projects reflect Governor Fintiri’s commitment to transformative governance and President Tinubu’s vision for a resilient, sustainable Nigeria. As May 27 approaches, Nathaniel’s legacy as a forward-thinking leader continues to shine, inspiring hope and progress across Adamawa and beyond.
