CONGRESS: NDC elects state exco in Adamawa

YOLA: The Adamawa state Chapter of Nigeria Democratic Congress,NDC party has elected 33-man state executive officials to run the affairs of the party for three years in the state.
Addressing the delegates from the twenty one local government areas in Yola on Monday, Secretary Congress Committee, Hon.Umar Ardo Kumo said that, the exercise was conducted in a rancour free atmosphere and in orderly manner.
Ardo Kumo noted that, the Congress committee followed the guidelines in the party’s constitution and opted for a consensus arrangement where all the delegates affirmed the acceptability of new officials of the party from state chairman position down to ex-officio respectively.
“Our committee followed the party’s constitution and opted for consensus arrangement which gave birth to this free and fair process under rancour free atmosphere.
“Today,this election brought to an end the tenure of protem executives headed by Mr.Ibrahim Bebebeto, state protem chairman and his team in Adamawa state”.Kumo highlighted .
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman of the Adamawa NDC, Sai’du Njobdi Komsiri expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve pledging to ensure inclusivity and transparency in his leadership style.
Komsiri described the emergence of the NDC as a best alternative for Nigerians rekindled hope of survival over the hardship bedeviling the people and the country.
Komsiri decried that Nigeria is presently at a crossroad but with the new bride(N DC), there will be light at the end of the tunnel because it’s blueprint will address most of the major challenges facing the nation.
He assured that the party will hit the ground with intensity immediately because the NDC is out for operation rescue Nigeria as that is what the party is putting forward across political units, Wards, local government, Senatorial zones and state levels.
He also called on the members and stakeholders of the party to support and cooperate with his team with a view to wrestle power from the ruling APC in the country come 2027 general elections.
The oath of office was administered to the new officials by chief Magistrate Kanimale Jacob Ndawale.
Those affirmed includes; Sai’du Njobdi Komsiri as chairman, Joseph Tumba kwatri as Deputy chairman,Isa Ahmed as the state Secretary,Bala Jingi as state Treasurer, Peter Hardley Dili as Organising Secretary.
Others elected are; Mahmoud Umar Mah mud as state publicity secretary, Auwal El-Kabir Esq as legal Adviser,Comfort Ibrahim as Woman leader and Rabi’u Hammabarka as the state Youth leader among others.
Political analysts watching the political happenings in the country are viewing the Nigeria Democratic Congress,NDC as a party with no internal crisis compared to the major parties like APC,PDP,ADC and NNPP which enveloped by one issue or the other.
