Gov. Buni Approves N41m for Ramadan Tafsir
By Yusuf Ali
His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, has approved the sum of N41 million to facilitate Ramadan Tafsir across the state.
The fund, released through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, is intended for the payment of allowances to Muslim scholars who will lead Tafsir sessions during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Ramadan Tafsir serves as an avenue for Islamic scholars to guide the Muslim faithful by interpreting the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, promoting spiritual growth, and fostering societal harmony.
Governor Buni, known for his commitment to religious and community development, emphasized the importance of supporting activities that encourage moral values, unity, and peaceful coexistence among the people of Yobe State.
The Commissioner for Religious Affairs, while confirming the release of the funds, commended the governor for his continued support of religious programs in the state.
He assured that the funds would be disbursed transparently and effectively to ensure successful Ramadan Tafsir sessions.
The initiative is part of the state government’s broader efforts to support the spiritual well-being of its citizens, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan.
