Gov. Buni stated this today in Damaturu while flagging off distribution of 30,000 bags of 10kg rice donated to the state by the Dangote foundation.

“As we prepare for this year’s cropping season, I urge you to massively engage in agriculture to ensure food sufficiency and food security.

He explained that international business community in Qatar and Morocco have indicated interest in sesame seeds, Gum Arabic, livestock and other agricultural products produced in the state.

“We will take advantage of this opportunity to support the farming population in the state and all others with interest in agriculture to facilitate the economic recovery programme of the government for the benefit of our people.

“I therefore, appeal to our youth to explore the potential in agriculture. Government would accord you a very special recognition, and support you with working tools to succeed and to become economically self-reliant” Gov. Buni Buni said.
