Gov. Zulum distributes FG’s food items , wrappers to 25,000 households

The Borno state Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum has personally supervised the distribution of Federal Government’s food items and wrappers as well as cash to the less previleged people of Mafa local government areas of Borno state.
Distributing the food items to the beneficiaries in Mafa, the headquarters of Mafa local government areas of the state on Tuesday, Governor Babagana Zulum said “In fulfilment of our electoral campaign promise to the people of Borno state that we shall be transparent and accountable, we are here in Mafa to distribute food items provided by the Federal Government for onward distribution to the less previleged people of Mafa.local Government area.”.
“Ten thousand heads of households will be receiving 50 kilograms of grains, while about 15,000 female heads of households will receive a wrapper and N10,000 each.through our microfinance bank”, Zulum added.
Governor Zulum said ” this food items that we are here to distribute constitute the last batch of the Federal Government intervention, some months ago we were in Gwoza local government area for the launching of the fist batch. Second batch was in Gajiram, third batch in Monguno and now is the fourth batch”
The Governor said the food items was provided by the Federal Government, while the wrappers and the N10,000 cash were provided by the Borno state government.
Speaking in an interview, one of the beneficiaries, Bulama Abubakar thanked President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babagana Zulum for the food assistance.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babagana Zulum for this assistance. This food items came at the time when we are in need of food and it will go a long way in bringing succour to our families”, he added.
