Hon. La’ori Commissions 6 Classrooms He Built At GDSS Dilli, Demsa

Hon Kwamoti La’ori (Murum Bondo Mbula), Member representing Numan/Demsa/Lamurde federal constituency, has commissioned the construction of 6 classrooms he built at GDSS Dilli School, located in Demsa Local Government Area of ​​Adamawa State.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on Monday, Rt Hon Kwamoti B La’ori, said the construction work is part of fulfilling the promise he made to the people of Dilli Ward since his campaign for the 2023 general elections.

“When I came to campaign in the town, one of the complaints you made to me was the lack of classrooms, and I personally confirmed that there were no classrooms in both of Senior and Junior sections, now God has given us the ability, not just classrooms but also chairs, books and other materials to improve children’s education, which will also ease the hardship of education for our children.

“I want to use this opportunity to appeal to you to take care of this building, because this building belongs to you, if something happens to it, it should be repaired, do not let it become a big deal, do not say that the Kwamoti who brought it will come and fix it.

“It is good for us to know that if we see something like this, it is ours and not the government’s, because the government will not come and study here, but our children will, so we should try to take care of it, so that they can also benefit in the future,” he said.

La’ori also commended the efforts of the traditional rulers in the area to unite the people, and urged the people of the area to continue to respect the traditional rulers, saying that this will give them strength and unity, saying that traditional rulers are the fathers of the community.

Hon Kwamoti La’ori also expressed concern about the number of children studying in the school, and the lack of teachers, “I was surprised to see five teachers teaching 360 children in this school, this shows that our children are not getting enough education, if only 5 people can teach 360 children, this is not enough.

“We will take this problem to the right place, so that the government can take action to bring teachers, La’ori also promised to give N200,000 thousand Naira to every student who came first in the school and the student who came first in the female category.

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of Demsa Local Government Area, Hon Akam Jalo, said that in the 11 wards that Demsa has, the development projects that Kwamoti La’ori is implementing have spread everywhere, he said that this is the case in all the 3 local government areas that he represents.

Hon Akam also warned the people of Dilli, “Don’t let the building deteriorate, it is now yours, don’t let it deteriorate, if anything happens to it, immediately inform the Development area, if it is not repaired, inform your councilor, he will inform us, we will repair it for you,” said Akam.

Speaking at the event, His Royal Majesty, Murum Mbula Bwaltam Biyapo Bently (Mboiman II), who was represented by the District Head of Mbula, Chief Nelson Denial, said that the emirate was very happy with the construction of the classrooms by Hon Kwamoti La’ori, “I pray that God will grant you the strength to continue this important work. Parents, please take care of this great project, ensure that we benefit from it for a long time, so that the children can get quality education.

In her speech the principal of the school Faith Jerimonth Ndu, said “this project is a clear example of your dedication to providing quality and equal representation for all, this project will be a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come, we pledge our continue support for your political ambitious.

Apart from the awarding of the Rt Hon Kwamoti La’ori, (Murum Bondo Mbula), traditional dances also entertained the participants, as is customary.
