It is described the African continent to join hands together, they can transform their vision for a cooperative and integrated Africa into a tangible reality.

Hon. La’ori who is also the chairman house committee on cooperation and integration in Africa, made this when he present the Strategic Plan of the House Committee on Cooperation and Integration in Africa in Abuja on Wednesday.

The member highlighted the vital partnership between the Executive and Legislative branches in delivering good governance not just for Nigeria, but for the continent as a whole.

He continued to said that “Today, we stand at a critical juncture where collaboration and integration are essential for our shared progress.

Our strategic plan serves as a blueprint for fostering unity, cooperation, and sustainable development across Africa. It aligns with our vision for a prosperous continent where every nation and its people can strive.

Let me briefly outline the five core pillars of this plan:

1. Legislative and Oversight Functions: Strengthening our legislative capabilities to ensure impactful, transparent, and accountable policies.

2. AU Agenda 2063 for African Cooperation & Integration: Aligning our national goals with the African Union’s vision for a united, peaceful, and prosperous continent.

3. Promoting National Participation: Ensuring inclusivity by engaging all citizens and stakeholders in shaping our nation’s future.

4. Public Trust for Enhanced Stakeholder Management: Building trust through transparency and active participation, fostering collaboration with civil society and the private sector.

5. Excellence in Service Delivery: Committing to high standards in public services, ensuring we effectively meet the needs of our citizens.

It is important to note that the successful implementation of this plan requires your collaboration and full cooperation and this is why we are sharing it with you today.
