Yobe Shines Again As Abubakar Musa Emerges Best Graduating Student in Medical Sciences
By Yusuf Ali
Abubakar Alhaji Musa, a native of Kukuwa in Gulani Local Government Area, has made Yobe State proud by emerging as the Best Graduating Student from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Maiduguri.
In recognition of his remarkable achievement, representatives from the Yobe State Scholarships Board, accompanied by the Focal Person on Tertiary Education, paid a visit to Abubakar and his family to celebrate the milestone. As a token of appreciation, the Board presented him with a cash gift of 200,000 naira, while the United Bank for Africa (UBA) added a 100,000 naira reward.
It is noteworthy that Mr. Abubakar, along with other Yobe indigenes studying medicine across Nigeria, benefits from a monthly allowance provided by the Yobe State Government. This long-standing policy has been instrumental in helping many young people from the state fulfill their aspirations of becoming medical professionals.
Yobe State continues to demonstrate its commitment to education and human capital development, producing outstanding talents like Abubakar Musa, who serves as an inspiration to the younger generation.
