2027: Barr DD Azura declares for gubertorial seat in Adamawa pledges inclusivity.

YOLA: Ahead of the 2027 general elections,a reknown legal practitioner cum politician, Barrister D. D. Azura, has declared his intention to contest the governorship election in Adamawa State.
Azure made the disclosure on Thursday in Yola during his courtesy call on the the state executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC), pledging to contribute his quota in the developmental drive of the state to the next level.
Azura hammered on the unwavering com mitment to unity and progress of the party congratulating the new APC party executives over their emergence and charged them to steer the party towards victory in the forthcoming elections.
Azura said his decision to join the race followed extensive consultations with elders, youths, women, and key stakeholders across the three senatorial zones of Adamawa State.
He emphasized that his ambition was driven not by personal gain but by a desire to improve governance and deliver tangible benefits to the people noting that his over forty years of legal practice and public service experience, the job of governing the state will come with ease.
He also recalled his tenure as Executive Chairman of Hong Local Government Council, where he championed reforms aimed at blocking illegal deductions from local government allocations, thereby restoring financial autonomy to councils across the country.
According to him,if given the mandate by the electorate come 2027,he administration will focus on three points agenda codenamed J.A.S ; Justice, Accountability, and Service
The aspirant told the party officials that he aligns with president Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda pledging to be loyal party member who will promote the ideals of the party in the state and country at large.
“The journey to 2027 begins now,” he said, urging party stakeholders to embrace experience and competence in choosing their candidate.
Responding State Chairman of the APC, Hamza Bello Madagali, commended Azura for his confidence in the party and for declaring his ambition through the proper channel.
Madagali informed the aspirant and his supporters of the party’s commitment to accord all aspirants a labelled playing ground for a free and fair contest.
He explained that it is only internal democracy that can grantees peace, harmony and progress of the party in the electoral processes urging all aspirants to respect opponents by basing their campaigns on issues not personality attacks.
