GOV. MAI MALA BUNI TAUGHT NIGERIA A BIG LESSON IN RESPECT & HISTORY!

What happened in Lagos last week at the meeting of Traditional Rulers has got everyone talking!

During the event, the organizers made a serious mistake they didn’t reserve a high-table seat for the Shehu of Borno, one of the oldest and most respected royal thrones in Africa Instead, they placed him among the general audience like an ordinary guest.

But guess what happened next?

When Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State saw this, he stood up immediately, walked to where the Shehu of Borno (His Royal Highness Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi) was seated, knelt down to greet him with full respect, held his hand, and personally took him to the high table.

He gave up his own seat for the Shehu and quietly went to sit elsewhere.

That single act shook the entire hall! People were clapping, recording, and talking about it it was pure royalty meeting true humility.

Let’s be honest if the organizers didn’t know the Shehu of Borno’s historical place, the Sultan of Sokoto and other traditional rulers should have corrected that immediately. The Shehu’s throne isn’t just a title, it’s history older than the Sokoto Caliphate itself!

Before Usman Dan Fodio founded the Sokoto Caliphate, the Kanem-Borno Empire was already standing strong a thousand-year-old Islamic kingdom that ruled parts of Nigeria, Chad, Niger, and beyond. The Shehu of Borno represents that royal bloodline a symbol of leadership, scholarship, and civilization.

Gov. Mai Mala Buni’s action was not just respect it was a reminder of our forgotten history! 💪

The Shehu of Borno deserves his rightful recognition anywhere in Africa.

Our traditional rulers must always uphold the correct royal protocol.

And the world must never forget that Kanem-Borno came before all others.

Let’s give it up for Governor Mai Mala Buni a true son of respect, culture, and wisdom.
