General Abubakar takes over duty as theater Commander operation Hadin Kai.

The new theater Commander Northeast Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Abdussalam Abubakar has took over the mantle of leadership as the theater Commander. He took over from Major General Wahidi Shua,ibu.
Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar is the 15th Theatre Commander of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), succeeding Major General Wahidi Shaibu..Major General Abubakar brings over a decade of operational, command, and instructional experiences to his new role.
The handover ceremony took place at the Headquarters Theatre Command in Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri, yesterday was witness by the sector commanders, units and formation commanders within the theater as well.as liason officers of the sister security agencies.
General Abubakar previously served in various capacities, including Commander Sector 3 OPHK and Multi National Joint Task Force in Mungono, General Officer Commanding 7 Division/Commander Sector 1 OPHK Maiduguri, and General Officer Commanding 3 Division/Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN. Before his appointment as Theatre Commander, he was the Deputy Commandant/Director of Studies at the National Defence College, Abuja..
In his farewell address, Major General Shu’aibu expressed gratitude to the officers and personnel for their cooperation during his tenure as Theatre Commander, describing his time as theater Commander as a journey of experiences, marked by numerous operations in terrorists’ enclaves..
General Shu’aibu urged the troops to give his successor same cooperation and, loyalty accorded to him by continuing to fight with dedication and professionalism to honour those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
He thank the president and Commander in chief, President Bola Tinubu, the Chief of Defense Staff,, General Christopher Musa, Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Olafemi Oluyede for the opportunity given to him to serve as theater Commander their support and strategic guidance.
The handover ceremony included the signing of handing and taking over notes, an address to troops and group photographs.
