Governor Yahaya Decries Cleric’s Murder, Orders Security Crackdown
By Hussaini Ibrahim Sulaiman
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Reverend Bala Galadima, the presiding clergy of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Lubo community, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area.
Reverend Galadima was murdered in the early hours of Sunday by suspected armed robbers at his residence in Lubo.
Governor Yahaya strongly condemned the act, describing it as an assault on the peace and security that Gombe State has long enjoyed. He emphasized that such incidents must not be allowed to undermine the state’s peaceful coexistence.
“We will not allow criminal elements to disrupt the harmony and security that define our state. I have directed security agencies to leave no stone unturned in tracking down the perpetrators and bringing them to justice,” the governor stated.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to security, Governor Yahaya assured the people of Gombe State that decisive measures would be taken to eliminate criminal threats.
On behalf of the government and people of Gombe State, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the ECWA Church, and the entire Christian community, praying for the repose of the late cleric’s soul and strength for those mourning his loss.
