Theatre Commander Conducts Assessment Visit to Giwa Barracks

The Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai Maj General Abdulsalam Abubakar has paid an assessment visit to Giwa Barracks to ascertain the level of destruction caused by yesterday’s explosion
The Commander, who was accompanied by top military officers of Operation HADIN KAI, was Received by the Commanding Officer 73 Battalion Lt Col N Dalha and JIC Commander Colonel Ahmad.
General Abubakar appreciated the efforts of the gallant troops and that of Federal and State Fire Fighters in putting down the fire.
He called on public not to panic but continue with their normal business as the situation is calm .
General Abubakar Urged public particularly for those living around the Giwa Barracks to desist from picking up any unknown particles as some fragments and unexploded ordinancies spread during the explosions.
The Theatre Commander called on the public to report any suspicious behaviour, persons, and ordinances to the Command by dialling 09026959597 or report to any security outfit nearby.
